About the Tree Board

It is the responsibility of the Tree Board to study, investigate, counsel / develop / update annually, and administer written plans (annual and long-range) for the care, replacement, maintenance, and removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas. Such a plan is presented annually to the City Council and upon their acceptance and approval shall constitute the official comprehensive City Tree Plan for the City of Gretna, Nebraska.

Tree Rebate Program

  • Must live in the Gretna city limits
  • May be reimbursed $30 per tree, up to 2 trees total
  • Purchased trees must have a trunk size at least 1 1/2" diameter
  • Copy of receipt from reputable nursery required
  • Must apply for the rebate between October 5, 2020 and September 5, 2121
    • Rebate funds are limited, so apply early!
