Gretna continues to experience strong growth, which requires us to not only operate our city, but invest in our infrastructure, services and staff to accommodate current and future growth. The increased revenue has been offset by the expenses created by the annexation, adding paid emergency medical services, building & operating our 157 acre park and investing in roads, water, and sewer infrastructure. Gretna has one of the lower property tax levy’s in the metro and it accounts only for 10.7% of our budget revenue.
